LUSH Aesthetics and Treatment Services Ribbon Cutting

The Greater Ardmore Chamber celebrated the grand opening of LUSH Aesthetics and Treatment Services with a ribbon cutting on Saturday, August 24th.  LUSH is owned and operated by Jessica Head.  Jessica attended Elkmont High School and furthered her education at the University of North Alabama.  Jessica believes that family is at the heart of everything she does.  She is the proud mother of two–Arabella (14) and Liam (8), and they are her greatest source of inspiration and motivation. Balancing motherhood with running a business is no small feat, but her children remind her every day of the importance of hard work, love, and resilience. Jessica’s family has been incredibly supportive throughout the journey of opening LUSH, especially her mother, Debbie Turner who was born and raised in Elkmont, AL.  Jessica Head was born in Denton, Texas (outside of Dallas). Her late father, Johnny Lackey, was a resident of Munford, AL and was a small business owner in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the 80’s. Her parents moved back to North AL/Southern TN in the 90’s where her dad purchased a farm in Giles County.

In addition to these services, they will soon be offering Biote Hormone Pellets as well as hormonal blood testing.

LUSH has a staff of nine and Jessica is proud to have a team of highly skilled professionals who are passionate about beauty and wellness. Each staff member brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table, ensuring that their clients receive top-notch care and personalized service. Their team includes licensed aestheticians, certified medical professionals, and wellness experts who are all dedicated to staying at the forefront of the industry. They regularly undergo training in the latest techniques and technologies to ensure they offer the most advanced treatments available. They have upcoming training for new services that will be announced very soon. The LUSH staff has a diverse range of specialties, allowing them to provide a comprehensive suite of services. The LUSH staff includes Dr. Evans Mize (Medical Director), Jessica Head (Owner, BSN, & RN), Meghan Keites (CRNP), Sharon Wilson (CRNP), Bethany Goode (LPN), Judy Turner (Owner, Judy Moon Naturals), Anjelikia Conley (Medical Assistant), Micaela Chandler (Office Manager), and Anna Pratt (Administrative Assistant)

Dr. Evans Mize is an 11-year board certified ABIM internist and hospitalist working in Emergency Medicine in multiple locations in Tennessee and Alabama. Dr. Mize also has a passion for the Aesthetic field and is also an injector himself.

Jessica graduated from UNA College of Nursing in 2015. She is an advanced aesthetic injector and certified Biostimulator/Body Contouring. She has multiple advanced aesthetic certifications that were obtained from the Injector Institute in Pensacola, FL. She worked at Huntsville Hospital ER Trauma 2011-2017, Madison ER 2017-2019, Continuum RX Infusion nurse from 2018-2024, Hospice Nurse 2018-2021 & Elkriver behavioral health 2019-2021.

Meghan Keites is an ANCC board-certified adult gerontological acute care nurse practitioner and graduated from the University of Huntsville in Huntsville Alabama. She was born and raised in New England and has been in Alabama since 2011, except for a brief two year move back to Massachusetts in 2021. She joined the Army right out of high school, serving her country for four years, which is where her medical career began. From combat medic to LPN, RN and now NP, Meghan has been in just about every role along her journey. Prior to Lush, Meghan has spent two decades in various roles in nursing (occupational health, skilled nursing, primary care, home infusion, hydration therapy, crisis nursing), primarily working in emergency medicine. Meghan has always had a passion for Aesthetics and was an injector while in Massachusetts before moving back to Alabama. Attended initial injector training in Scottsdale, AZ, and advanced injector training in Pensacola, FL.

Sharon Wilson attended Northwest Shoals community college and received by RN May 2013.  She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner in 2018 at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago IL in 2018. New to Lush as an NP attended Injector Coach Institute in Pensacola FL in June 2024. Sharon has over 8 years of LTC/Rehab experience, 10 years in hospice care experience and is currently works for SKP wound care performing wound grafts. She has 5 boys-Cameron, Ganon, Greyson, Brody, and Gavin and one grandchild, Finnick Lyle Collier.

Bethany Goode attended Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Pulaski. She has worked at Huntsville Hospital since January 2020 in the medical surgical line gastric & vascular unit. She has travel assignments through TRS at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC in Neuro Trauma June/July 2024. Bethany is scheduled to attend her fundamental injector class at The Injector Institute in November 2024.

Judy Turner is an Ardmore resident and the owner of Judy Moon Naturals.  She has 3 years of experience selling all-natural skincare & remedies. She is a Herbal Formulator in study for 12 years; she has certification in Herbal Master Classes; and is a registered Dental Hygienist from UAB School of Dentistry.  She has 18 years’ experience as a Medical Assistant and 10 years as a Unit Secretary in Medicine. She has additional schooling at St Petersburg Junior College, Eastern Michigan University, Walter’s State College, Calhoun Community College. Judy has 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren and has been married for 20 years.

Anjelikia Conley has been a CNA over 8 years, working in a long term nursing facility 2016-2019, activities director 2019-2021, previous administrator assistant, and DSP for a group home. She is the mother to two children (Elizeah & Calvin). She will be furthering her education for her LPN license.

Micaela Chandler is a successful entrepreneur with a diverse background and is the LUSH Office Manager. She previously worked for AnswerTel (2007-2012), Athens Utilities as Dispatcher (2012-2018), and Med Care East as an office manager (2018-2021). In addition to opening her own boutique brick-and-mortar store and online, Micaela is a founder and top leader at Celesty, where she focuses on providing EU standard hair care and affordable makeup.  She is the mother of three children (Jaleigh, Karmyn, and Kason). 

Anna Pratt is LUSH Administrative Assistant.  She attended Calhoun Community College. Anna has 12 years of experience in office management and healthcare. Anna also received her state license in the Hearing Industry in 2015. Anna is a mother of two children (Caroline and Hayes).

When Jessica was asked what made her decide to open a store front in Ardmore she responded that choosing to open the storefront in Ardmore was a natural decision for her. Ardmore is a vibrant, diverse and close-knit community that truly values connection, quality, and local business. She wanted to bring their expertise in aesthetics and wellness to a place where we could make a meaningful impact and become an integral part of the community. Ardmore has a unique charm, with its blend of small-town warmth and progressive spirit, making it the perfect location for LUSH Aesthetics and Treatment Services. They saw an opportunity to offer something special—a space where residents could access advanced beauty treatments and wellness services without having to travel far.
