The Town of Ardmore is getting some major help to overhaul its overloaded sewer system.
On Wednesday, officials announced a $22 million grant would go towards the largest infrastructure project in the town’s history.
The grant funding was announced at a joint ceremony at the Ardmore Water Department. Officials from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM), the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Alabama State Rep. Andy Whitt were all in attendance.
