Ardmore Community Shred Day Recap

The Ardmore Community Shred Day was a great success on Monday, April 24th.  The event was sponsored by The Greater Ardmore Chamber of Commerce, The City of Ardmore, TN, and The Town of Ardmore, AL.  The North Alabama Better Business Bureau assisted the Greater Ardmore Chamber to schedule the event.  The Secure Shred Truck was stationed in front of the Greater Ardmore Chamber office on 1st Street from 2:00 PM – 5:00 and had 1861 pounds of shredded paper during the three hours.  Blake Smedley was the Secure Shred technician assigned to the Ardmore event.  The Secure Shred company is in Albertville, Alabama and is a division of the Albertville-Boaz Recycling Authority.  They typically travel to surrounding communities once a week to assist with community events and company purges, which include hospitals and pharmacies.  Secure Shred has assigned routes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays that typically includes 20-24 stops at different businesses in Marshall County.  All shredding is on-site shredding.  The Greater Ardmore Chamber reached out to the North Alabama Better Business Bureau to set up the Shred Day.
